BETH MOORE CONFERENCE
Yay! We attended meetings on Friday night and Saturday morning (two weeks ago) with our beloved Bible teacher, Beth Moore. Along with about 6,700 other sisters in Christ, we enjoyed a wonderful time of spirited music, followed by humor and sound Bible teaching from God's servant, Beth. My friends with me in the picture are Greta (in the back), Judy and Sally, who is taking the selfie.
The theme of the weekend was "Recalibrate." As Christians, we need to recalibrate our lives to focus more fully on Jesus Christ Himself. Too often we are distracted from what is most important by those things that are of lesser importance. Beth used Luke 7 as her primary reference. Her love of Jesus always shines through - with passion. I pray God will help me to shine for Him.
After completing 16 Bible studies written and taught by Beth, I feel like I know her. Even though she doesn't know me - which always seems strange. God has used her to help me to grow in His Word in mighty ways. I have learned to absolutely love Bible study - which has proved to be exciting, enlightening, and empowering. Although I've also done numerous Bible studies by other writers, it is always a joy to come back to a Beth Moore study (:
With the apostle Paul, I say in my heart to Beth, "I thank my God upon every remembrance of you" Philippians 1:3. I'm so glad I finally got to see her in person. And, I pray God's richest blessings upon her - always.
